Peace Mandalas - Rhythm for Recovery - Holy Apostles Drumming and Art - Who We Are - Upcoming Events - Programs - Contact - Links

ArtSpirit was founded in 1995 with the organizing of an exhibit in New York City of sacred art from around the world. The enthusiastic response to this and ensuing exhibits, which highlighted the deep connection of art and spirituality, and to the educational forums that developed around them, inspired ArtSpirit to bring the creative process directly to individuals in the community. Since then, ArtSpirit has focused on offering its unique approach of using nondenominational drumming circles and art making on sacred themes to increasingly diverse groups. Drumming rhythms draw people together and help them express emotions as part of an enjoyable group process. In this way, emotional healing can take place through artistic expression and connecting to community. ArtSpirit has developed two programs, which invite participants to engage in the journey of finding peace and wholeness through the power of their own inspiration. Each uses art and music to further our goal of encouraging healing and unity through creativity.
