January 24, KIPA workshop
Kabarole Interschool Peace Alliance, KISPA is an affiliate association of students to Kabarole Research and Resource Centre. The association brings together peace club members and their patrons from 12 secondary schools in Kabarole District, South Western Uganda. As part of the alliance school holiday activities, a workshop on using art to promote peace messages was organised on January 24 at Fort Portal Municipal council hall in Fort-Portal Town. The workshop was facilitated by Christopher BUSIINGE of Kabarole Research and Resource Centre, Heather Reene Speath, both students of the School for International Training in Vermont, USA. Below are the art mandalas that were drawn by students as a personal reflection for each of the students as peace builders. The images and the messages also do reflect personal visions of a peaceful world.
